Brewers announce new shirt sponsor

23 July 2013

Burton Albion are delighted to announce that Anvil Hire Ltd will be the official home shirt sponsors for the 2013/14 campaign; with Mr Cropper continuing to sponsor the club’s away shirt.

Burton-based company Anvil Hire specialise in the hiring of plant and equipment as well as the sale of consumable stock to the construction industry and also the sale and hire of vehicles.

Burton Albion Commercial Director Fleur Robinson commented: ‘We are delighted to welcome Anvil Hire Ltd as official sponsors of the club’s home shirt and are equally pleased to be continuing our association with Mr Cropper.

‘Anvil Hire have been valued sponsors for many years and it is great that such a prominent local company has stepped up its association with us ahead of what promises to be an exciting campaign.’

Burton Albion Director Rob Brown added ‘I am thrilled after a long history of association with the club that Anvil Hire Ltd are proud to be the new main sponsor to Burton Albion FC.

‘There are various reasons that I say that as myself and my business partner Martin Pratt and Director Peter Harley - who is a lifelong Burton Albion fan and present at every home game alongside Anvils retired Finance Director Dave Hotston - decided that as a high percentage of Anvil Hires national trade originates from businesses and people based in and around the  Burton area it is fitting that we support Burton Albion Football Club as it is a great attraction and community facility which gives pleasure to thousands of local people.

‘In turn the powerful advertising benefits of being the main sponsor of Burton Albion through press and TV publicity would serve to build awareness of Anvil Hire Ltd and the plant hire sales and services it provides.

‘I have been involved in Anvil Hire Ltd from its early days in 1997 and have been proud in its healthy growth through supporting local trading.

‘In 2008 it was fully incorporated into the Roger Bullivant Group and during that time focused primarily on serving the main Roger Bullivant company and local businesses.
‘In July 2011 the Chargill Group set up by myself and my business partner Martin Pratt successfully purchased the Roger Bullivant Ltd Group of companies before selling the RBL piling and geotechnical parts of the business to its present French owners Bachy Soletanche Ltd.

‘During the coming season I will continue to support the club through sponsorship of the away shirts by Mr Cropper Ltd which has experienced growth in its recent years whilst being Main Sponsor of Burton Albion FC.’

The new Brewers’ home shirt will remain for a minimum of one season and, following positive feedback from supporters, continues the design of the highly popular 2012/13 play-off shirt.

Supporters who have previously bought the play-off shirt will be eligible for a £5 discount and can do so by bringing their play-off shirt to the Club Shop as proof of purchase.

The new home shirt is also now available to pre-order online by visiting www.burtonalbionfconlineshop.co.uk.
