Rowett in rallying cry ahead of Wycombe

21 March 2013

Burton Albion’s promotion charge continues on Saturday, with Wycombe Wanderers the visitors to the Pirelli Stadium.

With no fixtures in the top two tiers this weekend due to the international break, Saturday’s contest is the perfect opportunity for football fans in the area to come and show their support for Burton Albion.

The Brewers return to home comforts after two impressive results on the road saw the side accrue four points from six; maintaining their position in the npower League 2 automatic promotion places.

Burton have been nothing short of emphatic at the Pirelli Stadium this season, recording a club-record nine straight wins and scoring a bagful of goals in the process.

Saturday’s 3pm kick off gives the Brewers an opportunity to further enhance their promotion credentials and with the club occupying the highest league position in their history; manager Gary Rowett is calling on supporters to rally around the side.

‘The support shown by our fans this season has been fantastic both home and away’ commented Rowett.

‘We’ve put ourselves in a good position with just seven games to play and it is a very exciting time for all involved with Burton Albion.

‘The Pirelli Stadium has become a fortress and the support of Brewers’ fans has been instrumental in that. Hopefully the people of Burton and the surrounding areas will, like the players, come out and give it their all in the final four home games; starting with this Saturday.’

Tickets for Burton Albion v Wycombe Wanderers can be purchased at the Pirelli Stadium, by calling the Ticket Office on 01283 565938 or by emailing ticketing@burtonalbionfc.co.uk.
