Macmillan attend FA Cup win
Burton Albion continued their matchday fan engagement last Sunday when the Brewers saw off Hereford 2-0 in the FA Cup first round at the Pirelli Stadium.
Jo Dexter (middle), a Macmillan Information Nurse attended the fixture along with Patient Engagement Advisors Michele Clerc (left)Â and Elly Briggs (right)Â from the Queens Hospital and Burton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust with the aim of promoting the early detection and diagnosis of male cancers and in particular prostate cancer.
Michele and Elly were also on hand to gain feedback from Albion supporters on how the hospital can continue to improve its local services to the Burton upon Trent public.
The trio were available to supporters to discuss the importance of an early detection and the significance of a good prognosis and recovery.
