England international takes questions from youngsters
School children from Eton Park Junior School quizzed England international Karen Carney ahead of the UEFA Women's U17 Championships.
Miss Carney, who also plays for Birmingham City Ladies Football Club, met the class of Year Four pupils at the Burton upon Trent school earlier this week.
Miss Carney spoke to the pupils about her sporting idols and how she got involved in sport.
Laura Naughton, leader of PE at the school said: “We have done work with UEFA about women in sport to inspire the children and girls to get excited about doing sport and make them realise there are no barriers to their opportunities.
“The children absolutely loved it. They sat in silence and listened to her and now they are all talking about her.”
