Albion's OGOC match unites community

The Brewers’ last SkyBet League 2 match against Morecambe was Albion’s designated One Game One Community fixture and the day proved a resounding success.

The Trust welcomed key partners Trent and Dove Housing, East Staffordshire Borough Council, Staffordshire County Council, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue, Staffordshire Police to the Pirelli Stadium as part of the One Game One Community initiative.

Burton Albion Community Trust Manager Andy Taylor said: “The day was a great success and highlighted our commitment to the communities of Burton.

“I would like to thank all our key partners who made the day possible and the Burton Albion fans who showed their support and solidarity,” he added.

Prior to the game, which ended in a 1-0 defeat, youngsters from the Trust's Albion2Engage programme competed in a highly competitive Street Stadia tournament, with a presentation taking place at half-time during the match.
