The Football Association will host the UEFA Women’s European Under 17 Championship Finals in England from 26 November - 8 December 2013, with the final group stage match, which will include England, being held at the Pirelli Stadium on Monday 2 December, 12.30pm kick off.
A semi-final (5th December) and the third-placed play-off (8th December) will also be played at the home of the Brewers.
The daytime kick off will enable schools as well as all fans to experience a finals tournament, with full ticket details and fixture list to be released shortly.
This is the seventh UEFA European Women’s Under-17 final tournament but the first to be held outside Switzerland and the first to contain eight teams with Poland are the current holders.
The tournament consists of three distinct stages: two qualifying rounds and an eight-team final tournament. The competition is currently in the Elite Round stage where 24 teams are competing in 6 groups for seven places.
England National Women’s Under-17 Coach, Lois Fidler commented: 'Holding the final tournament in England provides our young stars with a real chance to shine. This is a big stage for our players and they will embrace the opportunity.'
