Wycombe Wanderers 1-2 Burton Albion

5 October 2013

Skybet League 2 action from Adams Park

Two goals from Billy Kee proved enough to secure a first ever win at Adams Park as a lacklustre Wycombe Wanderers were put to the sword as Albion returned to winning ways against their ten man hosts. After previous 4-1 and 3-0 defeats at the home of the Chairboys it proved to be third time lucky for the Brewers as a first win in five games sent Albion back into the top half of the Skybet League 2 table.

Kee produced a typical finish with a smart turn and shot from the edge of the box on 26 minutes and with Wycombe down to ten men following the sending off of Charles Dunne on 47 minutes for a second yellow card the Albion man doubled his and Albion's tally from the penalty spot after he was felled by veteran defender Gary Doherty on 52 minutes.

Albion were in cruise control for most of the second half but they were made to endure a nervous final few minutes when Matt McClure netted from close range in the final minute of normal time.
