Some quick thoughts from Stuart Beavon after scoring Tuesday’s winning goal and setting up a home tie against Queens Park Rangers.

On Tuesday’s Performance:

"It was obviously a good start at Oxford. We had some things to work on and we did that, so when we played Wigan we came out and put those things right.

"We knew Wigan were going to pass the ball around and if we jumped to win the ball we'd create gaps, but we kept our shape and that’s the main thing.

"They wanted to pass the ball, but in the second half they had to go long as we had shut off all the space. It was almost the perfect performance.

On The Season So Far:

"It’s up to us to play our own game and it’s been a really good start. We’re hoping to build on it and keep winning.

"We've gone out with with our own ideas two games in a row and although Wigan was different, we've got our own game plan and we’ll play our own way.

"Just put another team in front of us and hopefully we’ll win.

On The Fan’s Backing:

"It was good and they were really loud and that gives the boys a big push. If they were as vocal tonight then it’s going to be a big help this season.
