BREWERS FANS URGED TO FORM THE YELLOW WALL ON SATURDAY

14 August 2014

Wear yellow to get behind the lads

Burton Albion face Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday, and the club are calling on all fans around the ground to show their support, wear yellow colours and create another great atmosphere at the Pirelli Stadium.

Brewers boss Gary Rowett has spoken of the difference the atmosphere can make at a game, and has urged fans to lift the players with their show of support.

The Brewers have started the 2014/15 season with wins against Oxford United and Championship side Wigan Athletic, and Rowett wants the fans to help make it three in a row.

“The fans have been magnificent recently against Wigan Athletic and in the play-offs against Southend United. Both the staff and the players have noticed a difference in the atmosphere with a drum being put in the terrace, and as we saw on Tuesday night it really spurred the lads on when we found ourselves under pressure,” Rowett said.

In response to fans’ views on atmosphere during games, the Burton Albion Community Trust introduced a drum for home games at the end of last season. The use of the drum has been positively received by fans and it will be back in action on Saturday as we call on fans to build the Yellow Wall.

The club shop will be open for merchandise before the game, including shirts, scarves, rattles, horns and jester hats in order to get kitted out for the day. Tickets can be bought from the club shop or by calling 01283 565938, with ticket prices starting at ÂŁ16 for adults and ÂŁ5 for 16 & unders.
