Community Trust raising funds for Ghana visit

Burton Albion fans are being asked to dig deep to support the community arm of the club in their work in the local area and in Ghana at the festive fixture against Shrewsbury Town.

In their second visit to Ghana, Burton Albion Community Trust will take a team of staff and volunteers to the West African nation to take part in education, building and coaching projects.

Paul Calladine, volunteer coordinator at the Trust said, ‘The volunteers will be doing a bucket collection at the fixture on the 3rd January against Shrewsbury Town and are asking the fans to support this worthwhile cause.  Fundraising is in full swing now and the new year will see a whole range of activities to raise the much needed money for the projects on the trip.’
