Albion host Junior Football Day fixture

Burton Albion’s Sky Bet League 2 fixture against Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday February 15 (3pm) will play host to the Brewers Junior Football Day.


The club are inviting local junior teams to create a unique atmosphere at The Pirelli Stadium by allocating a full stand solely to players their families and coaches.


The teams and coaches can purchase reduced tickets for the fixture through a booking form and all teams will be showcased in a special programme pull out and will have a team photo on the pitch following the League 2 fixture with representatives from Burton Albion’s first team squad.


In addition when ordering their tickets, teams are encouraged to bring their family members along to the fixture to create a real family atmosphere, to encourage this Burton

 

Albion have reduced ticket prices for the terrace to all home fans to Adults: £13, Concessions: £11 and Children: £3.

 

Junior Football League teams have until January 24 to register their team’s attendance and can order their tickets by downloading the online booking form.


Burton Albion chairman Ben Robinson, said: “In partnership with our Community Trust and Academy we work very closely with a large number of local leagues, clubs and teams in creating sustainable relationships.


“We piloted this initiative last season against Accrington Stanley and due to the success and feedback we have received we have taken steps to create a Junior Club stand for the day and hope that teams take up the opportunity of accessing reduced priced tickets and create a unique atmosphere on the day.”


The club is also offering whichever club sells the most tickets the opportunity to have a matchday experience which will include selected players having the opportunity to be flag bearers, player escorts and have penalties on the pitch at half time.


Official partner of Burton Albion the Burton Junior Football League are supporting the fixture, Chartered Standard League Officer Andy Topham, said: “The BJFL are delighted to be partnering Burton Albion in offering our teams and families the opportunity to attend the Dagenham & Redbridge fixture and create a real family atmosphere in our own designated stand.”


He added: “We hope that as many as possible will take the opportunity to watch their local professional football club in action.”
