Players make school appearance
Primary school students at Anglesey Primary School were boosted by the appearances of five Burton Albion players on Wednesday March 5.
First-team stars Alex McDonald, Lee Bell, Marcus Holness, Dominic Knowles and Rob Lainton were all in attendance.
First of all, the players shared their dietary lives and what they had already done earlier that day.
Holness began with his breakfast, a healthy bowl of porridge, followed by training at 9.30am before returning to the Pirelli Stadium at 1pm ready to have lunch.
After all the players had shared their day so far with the children, they took their time to answer a variety of questions the pupils had prepared
The players then visited a fellow Year 3 class before finally seeing to the two Year 6 classes.
Dominic Knowles said: “it’s great to come down here after training and meet all the children, they all had plenty of questions about how we spend our time as footballers and the kind of foods we eat to prepare for matches and training.”
The appearance had a positive impact on the children and the teachers of Anglesey Primary.
