Brewers win fourth award
Burton Albion have been awarded the Football League’s Family Excellence Award for 2014.
The Award has now been established for six years and is given to clubs following two separate family visits to the stadium as home supporters. It also takes into account of commitment to fair pricing for young people and work in relation to the Enjoy the Match campaign. Having been nominated by families coming on a genuine visit for the first time, it is the ultimate family accolade.
The Brewers scored highly in areas including car parking, friendliness of the ticket office staff, the choice of food and drink available from the kiosks and the activities on the pitch before the game and at half-time.
Chairman Ben Robinson said “We are delighted to win this award for the fourth time and demonstrates our commitment to young supporters.
“We’ve always maintained affordable pricing for all supporters, and this award is testament to our overall matchday experience for families.
“We conducted a fans’ survey recently and 98% of all respondents agreed that Burton Albion is a family club, and we are proud of this award.”
