BEAVON: WE'VE BEEN OUR OWN DOWNFALL

4 October 2014

Stuart Beavon's gives his thoughts after tonights 3-1 home defeat to Cambridge United.

On Tonight's Performance:

"We didn't turn up really and it was a bad performance from us.

"They came here with a game plan and it worked.

"We had a couple of chances at 0-0 and in the second half at 2-0 we had a few chances to pull it back.

"We tried to get goals, but we left it open at the back and they caught us on the counter attack.

"It's down to us, as I don't think anyone has battered us and we've been our own downfall.

"We're out there working hard and sometimes we come up against teams and it disrupts our game plan."

On Losing Momentum:

"How many games is there left to play?

"We're top of the league, with teams playing tomorrow and if they win we go second or third and a maximum of two points behind.

"We know we've got a good enough team capable of going up, so we need to show it again."

On Whether Tiredness Is An Issue:

"We spoke about it, but I don't know.

"We have got a small squad and there's a lot of games, but we can't moan about it because everyone's had the same thing.

"We might have had an extra two games, but everyone is in the same boat as us."
