BEN ROBSON GIVES HIS YOUNG FAN'S VIEW

2 October 2014

Hello and welcome to the young fan’s view,

“WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE SAY WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE!”
(AGAIN!)

Yes, indeed, we are top of the league again thanks to a good 1-0 performance against Cheltenham at the Pirelli. It was an entertaining, albeit nerve-racking, game but we got the 3 points and that’s all that matters. The first half was a fantastic half for us, especially because we scored a fantastic team goal through Stuart Beavon. In the second half, however, they came at us, but, thanks in no small part to the heroics of Ian Sharps (who deserved the man of the match award, in my opinion), we held out for a vital win in our promotion push.

Many people believe that being at the top of the table at the very start of the season is irrelevant, but I completely disagree. Yes, it may be better to be top through the last 4 or 5 games in the season, but being top in the first 4 or 5 games is important too because it sets the tone for the rest of the season, and that’s why I am so happy with the start we have made this season. To have lost 2 matches and still be top and have 22 points shows our quality squad and I think we will win the league, comfortably.

Speaking about our opponents, Friday’s opponents, Cambridge United, currently sit in 18th with one eye on the relegation zone. They are winless in 3 and have lost half of their games this season.

For these reasons, and because of our performance last time out, I think we will win comfortably, but I hope the game will be entertaining and competitive as our games in the Conference were against them.

Let’s hope it is another win…………………….

COME ON YOU BREWERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ben Robson
