11 September 2014

Reece Brown is the Sky Bet Fan of the Month for August

Burton Albion fan Reece Brown has been named the Sky Bet League 2 Fan of the Month for August.

Reece, 19, has supported the Brewers for nine years and has, this season, introduced a drum into the home end, adding to the matchday atmosphere.

Reece also works as a community coach for the Burton Albion Community Trust (BACT).

Reece said: “I’ve supported the Brewers for as long as I can remember and I want the team to know that we’re behind them.

“As a massive Brewers fan, I volunteered at the BACT for a year, before the Head of the Community Andy Taylor offered me some part-time work.

“The club have been brilliant in funding my coaching badges and I’m so happy in the job.

“To work for the club I love is a fantastic feeling and I want to push on further in this career in the future.”

Burton Albion Chairman Ben Robinson said: “ “His communication with the fans over the summer and the work he puts into fan engagement has led to the Pirelli Stadium becoming a fortress on matchday.

Reece has played a pivotal role in increasing the atmosphere home and away.

“This award is recognition of the hard work Reece has put into the football club and it is richly deserved.”
