On 1 January, Dunn signed a one month loan deal with Cheltenham Town along with fellow reserve team mates Kevin Stewart and Lloyd Jones
He made his Cheltenham, and senior debut, on 3 January in a League Two match against Oxford United.Jack marked his debut by scoring in the 2–1 victory for Cheltenham. At the end of the month he was recalled to Liverpool, after picking-up an injury.
“When I went to Cheltenham, it was my first time in men’s football and in the league.”
His loan move to the Brewers is different to when he moved to Cheltenham. His first spell in men’s football and league football was tasked with avoiding relegation with Cheltenham Town but the situation he comes into at Burton is the complete opposite.
Dunn will be hoping to gain promotion with the Brewers during his loan spell with the league 2 club. The presence of Chelsea legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was also a big pull for the 20-year-old.
“I had a great time despite being at the bottom of the league so as soon as Burton came in and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, what a legend striker he is. It was an easy choice to make."
The youngster is not only hoping to help his loan club to success but he wants to use this spell but to kick start his career and learn from ex-striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink for his own future development.
“I just jumped at the chance because I want to learn from him over these next couple of months so it is going to be good for me.”
