JACK IS DUNN WITH INJURIES

9 April 2015

After joining on loan back in March from Liverpool, along with Kevin Stewart, Jack Dunn has finally arrived at the Pirelli Stadium.

He signed at the same time as fellow Liverpool loanee Kevin Stewart on 26th March but didn't train with his teammates until Tuesday, the day after the Brewers maintained their lead at the top of the table with a 1-0 win over fellow promotion-chasing Wycombe Wanderers.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s signings have a reputation of picking up injuries since joining the Brewers and that is exactly what Dunn picked up BEFORE he came to the Pirelli.

"A little niggly injury which set me back a couple of weeks stopped me coming here but I managed it well.

"I didn’t want to rush and then be out for another couple of weeks so I managed it well and hopefully I can come back now and stay fit for the rest of the season."

Hasslebaink's men’s injuries have mainly been hamstring injuries with Nasser El Khayati the only signing to stay injury-free. Jack Dunn's injury was also a hamstring injury and admits that he has had a few of them in his history.

"It was a hamstring unfortunately.

"I have had a couple of them in my history so I am just trying to get on top of that."

Being only 20, Dunn has got his whole career ahead of him which only leaves positive thoughts in the young scousers mind. He is just looking to put all injuries behind him and stay fit for the rest of the season.

"I am doing different workouts in the gym to keep myself strong and prevent it from happening."

"I took my time here, I didn’t want to come here and rush and pick up an injury so hopefully I can manage it well and stay fit until the end of the season."
