SKY DOCUMENTARY TO BE BROADCASTED ON SUNDAY

22 April 2015

Newly-promoted Burton Albion will feature in a special documentary made by Sky Sports.

Broadcaster Gary Newbon and the Sky Sports cameras have been celebrating the Brewers promotion to League One for the first time in the club’s history by going behind the scenes at the Pirelli Stadium.

The resulting film takes a look at the Brewers rise to the top of League Two under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in his first manager’s job in English football.

It will be broadcast on Sky Sports at 7pm on Sunday following the live teatime Premier League match between Arsenal and Chelsea.

Burton Albion chairman Ben Robinson said: “It has been a truly remarkable season and we were delighted to welcome Sky TV to celebrate what the club has achieved this season with our promotion to League One.

“It also features the town of Burton and we think football and non-football fans will want to watch it and celebrate the promotion with us.”

Burton Albion have two games left as a League Two club and there’s still a lot to play for.

The Brewers will be crowned champions on Saturday at home to Northampton in an all-ticket clash at the Pirelli Stadium if they win and second placed Shrewsbury don’t. Tickets are on sale now. Otherwise it may go to the final game away at Cambridge on May 2. Tickets and away travel are also available for that game.
