BURTON Albion were in the Sky TV spotlight today as presenter Jim White and his TV crew dropped in for a live broadcast.
The visit was part of Sky’s 92Live special which sees reporters visit every ground in the Premiership and Football League - but only a select few clubs were visited by the helicopter.
Jim White said he was delighted to visit the Pirelli Stadium and talk to manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink as well as revealing the Brewers new kit live on national TV.
He said: “We may one minute be at Arsenal, another minute at Chelsea but we want to put Burton on the map as well because what Burton have done under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is amazing and I pushed him in the interview about another promotion, which was maybe an unfair question, but if they could do it that would be phenomenal.
“When I interviewed Jimmy in the studio he said he wanted to make his mark as a manager. His drive and determination can only benefit a club like Burton Albion.
“We have been to Bournemouth today, who like Burton Albion have got promoted and are looking forward to the season ahead and we have been to Chelsea, having a one-to-one with Jose Mourinho, which was amazing - and he’s a big fan of 92Live so that made us feel great.
“Burton have just as valid a reason to play a part in 92Live as Chelsea and Mourinho. Burton are a big part of the day.
“We are a delighted that we were able to launch Burton’s new shirt live on air. That was fantastic. It’s striking and I like it. I think the fans will like it as well.”
