ANOTHER victory against higher opposition against Bolton carried on Burton's tradition of cup giant killings.

Skipper John Mousinho admits it is good to get results on the board early to give the squad some confidence.

"Obviously last year was my first at Burton. We beat Wigan and QPR. It is very good to get results early.

"If you look at Burton's history in the League Cup they have done it a few times. It is a great way to start the season and gives the lads confidence.

"It gives us a great opportunity to go out and play against opposition that are better than us. When you get out on the pitch it is an even game."

Barnsley, Albion's opponents on Saturday were taken to extra time in their cup tie last night, which some say will give the Brewers the advantage. Mousinho isn't thinking about fatigue however..

"It may be a bonus but we won't be looking at that too much. If we go into the game with that poor mentality we won't get anything.

"We will make sure we go into the game knowing Barnsley inside out so we can exploit their weaknesses.

"We need to make sure we work hard and work 100% to give us the best chance of getting the result."
