NIGEL Clough is delighted to have two long-serving members of his backroom team re-joining him at Burton Albion.
He said: “We have Gary Crosby and Andy Garner coming back – we have worked together for 17 years now. Andy was a player when he first came here. We have a good relationship and know each other inside and out. We know what we want and work well as a team.”
Clough is also pleased with the training facilities at the FA Centre.
“St George’s Park is another big plus and gives us access to some of the best facilities in the country. It’s a good draw for attracting players as well - a positive factor.”
He’s also impressed with the squad he’s inherited.
He said: “People have told me the two things that stand out are the hard work and the honesty. They are very keen, very fit and confident at the moment being top of the League. It’s lovely to inherit that situation.
“The defensive record is superb this season and something to concentrate on. There might be one or two little tweaks or changes here and there but we don’t want to upset anything that’s been happening in the last year and, if you look back, or the time with Gary Rowett before that. We want to keep that going.”
