DEFENDER SUFFERS NEW INJURY SETBACK

9 December 2015

BREWERS defender Darius Charles has been ruled out until January after picking up a hamstring injury.

The summer signing from Stevenage has been making good progress from long-term injury and has featured in reserve games on the path back to full fitness but suffered a setback in training.

Brewers manager Nigel Clough said: "In his first session on Monday he did his hamstring which is not ideal.

"He has been out a long time as well and often it’s the case then that you pick up these secondary injuries.

"The only positive is that it gives his ankle another four to six weeks to get better and when he comes back in January we hope he will be fitter and stronger."
