BURTON Albion shown fantastic character to add to their 1-0 lead at Gillingham in the final minutes of the game.

It was a really team performance from the Brewers and is being labelled as the best game they have played for a long while.

New Brewers boss Nigel Clough was absent but that really made no difference as Andy Garner and Gary Crosby took charge at Priestfield.

Tom Naylor said: “Everyone is in it together,” he added “Whoever scores, it’s massive.”

Timmy Thiele made a run identical to his run away at Wigan Athletic late last month and provided yet another assist as he pulled it back for Tom Naylor whose shot was turned in by Anthony O’Connor.

“Timmy isn’t having a bad time at the minute; he’s working hard and assisting us.

“Everyone saw what he did on Saturday and went over to congratulate him.”

Tom Naylor worked under Nigel Clough at Derby County but he experienced a pretty tough time after arriving from Mansfield Town.

“When I knew the gaffer was coming in I didn’t really know what to expect from the Derby situation but everything has gone perfectly,” Naylor said.

“He has been encouraging me in training like he has been everyone else and it’s a massive bonus for me.”
