THE Brewers have had an incredible season so far, in fact they have the same amount of points now than what Bristol City had at this stage last season.
Bristol did go on to lift the Sky Bet League One title. One of the key points of success has been the solidarity of the Brewers defence, not only the back four but the strikers and midfielders too.
“I think so far we have done well,” said McLaughlin.
Gary Rowett left the Brewers around the same time last season as Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink departed this season
McLaughlin said: “As a group we went through it once last season when we lost a good manager but another good man came in. That was a reason for our success.”
Now, Nigel Clough has taken over the Brewers seven years after he left Burton top of Conference to join Derby County.
“We've got another good manager through the door with his staff who want to carry on winning with the same ingredients.
“We're all excited at the new challenge under the new manager and working for a massive name in management.”
