THE Brewers were without the help of newly-appointed manager Nigel Clough at Gillingham today so Andy Garner and Gary Crosby took charge.
Garner was the man on the sidelines and said he couldn’t have asked for much more off his players after the 3-0 victory which extended their lead to five points at the top of Sky Bet League One.“I don’t think we could have asked any more from them.” Said Garner.
He added “It’s a magnificent start at a difficult place in difficult conditions.
“It’s very blustery out there but from the first whilst until the last we were on top, even when it was 11 v 11.
“It is nice to get the goal with that sort of performance.
“Three goals away from home, we can’t do much more than that.
“We were on top from the start and the only disappointing thing was we didn’t get shots off in the first 15 minutes.”
