MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM NEWS AHEAD OF MILLWALL

1 December 2015

Burton Albion vs Millwall
Tuesday 1st December
Sky Bet League One
7.45PM KO

The Brewers go into Tuesday's game off the back of back-to-back victories against Wigan Athletic and Colchester United respectively. Millwall are sitting in mid-table after a fairly good start to the season, they have lost just once in 11 games.

Just like many teams this season, the Brewers and the Lions have never met in a competitive league fixture. This will be the first time the sides have met.

DARIUS CHARLES may be included in the match day squad as he was against Wigan. There hasn’t yet been an indication as to when he could make his first appearance.

ZELI ISMAIL is still out after suffering an ankle injury in a reserve game a few weeks back.

DAMIEN McCRORY will start Tuesday's game, confirmed by Hasselbaink on Monday.

SHANE CANSDELL-SHERRIFF will be missing from the match day squad as he is suffering from a groin injury which he sustained a few weeks back, he is out for up to two weeks..

ROBBIE WEIR will be hit and miss for Tuesday's game, he sustained a foot injury during Saturday's victory over Colchester.

Aiden O'Brien

Aiden made his full League team debut for Millwall at Derby during the 2014/15 season - and ended up as a first-team regular in the latter part of the campaign.

The 22-year-old first travelled with the senior squad on the 2011/12 pre-season tour of Ireland and featured in the two matches against Shelbourne and Longford Town.

He was Schoolboy of the Year in 2009/10 and added to that accolade with a call-up to the Ireland U19 squad for their August 2011 friendlies before making his first team debut as a late substitute in the Carling Cup defeat at Wolves the following month.

Aiden scored 14 goals in 25 starts for the U18s during the 2011/12 season, and also gained some useful experience during a loan spell with Hayes & Yeading.

The following campaign the young striker had another spell out on loan at Crawley Town and during 2013/14 joined Aldershot Town on a youth loan in a bid to continue his development.

Aiden established himself at U21 level for the Republic and went on to appear for Millwall's first team against Southampton in the Capital One Cup in August 2014. His full debut followed on October 4th 2014 and his first goal for The Lions was a textbook header in a 2-2 draw at Brentford in March 2015.

There are high hopes in the Millwall camp that Aiden can really kick on in the 2015/16 season and continue his excellent progress.

NASSER EL KHAYATI scored again on Saturday to pick up his 7th goal of the season. STUART BEAVON is sitting just behind Nasser as he sits on 5 goals.

LEE GREGORY and AIDEN O'BRIEN are battling it out in the Millwall camp to pick up the goalscorers award this season. LEE GREGORY is on 10 goals, 4 of those in the league whilst AIDEN O'BRIEN is on 9 goals, 6 of those in the league.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink:

"Millwall will be very tough and they are on a little run.

"They have very experienced players who know these leagues and above.

"They came down from the Championship and if you asked them, I'm sure they would like to go back as soon as possible."

Timmy Thiele

“Millwall are a big club like Wigan, but we don't care about that and we will try our best to take all three points.”

“We are a small club, but that doesn't matter.

"We are a big team for us!”
