ON THE WHISTLE MATCH REPORT

19 December 2015

Just one change to the Brewers side that beat Gillingham last week. Anthony O'Connor replaced Robbie Weir.

GOAL: The visitors took the lead after just four minutes. Andy Williams struck a volley from the edge of the box and there was nothing that Jon McLaughlin could have done about it (0-1).

GOAL: Just over ten minutes later, the Brewers were level! Tom Naylor threaded the ball through the eye of a needle for Calum Butcher who calmly slotted home for his first Albion goal (1-1).

Former Rover Mark Duffy could have given the Brewers the lead on the half hour mark. He received a great pass from El Khayati on the right but Stuckmann was out quick to deny him.

Both teams went in level at the break with neither team having too many chances although Duffy will be dissapointed he didn't score his effort.

HT: Burton Albion 1-1 Doncaster Rovers.

Calum Butcher should have had a brace five minutes into the second half. Some great chasing down by Beavon provided Nasser to set up Butcher in the box but he struggled to find a way through the Donny defence.

PENALTY: Mousinho brought down Tyson in the box. Williams was the man to face McLaughlin but the Albion stopper SAVED IT!

GOAL: Calum Butcher again! He received the ball on the edge of the box and turned brilliantly to slot home with his left foot for his second of the afternoon and second of the season (2-1).

GOAL: This game was just full of goals. This time it was the away side the equalised through Keegan. He lined up a free kick from 18 yards before putting it right into the top corner (2-2).

GOAL: Another penalty went Doncaster's way as Edwards brought down Butler. Tyson stepped up and made no mistake (2-3).

GOAL: It was a goal fest at the Pirelli as the Brewers found another equaliser! Duffy against his former club curled one into the top corner form 18 yards (3-3).

Mark Duffy had the chance to go and win the game at the death. Beavon flicked the ball on to leave Duffy one-on-one with the 'keeper but Duffy couldn't find the back of the net.

Attendance: 4,103

Ash's man of the match: Calum Butcher
