NIGEL Clough believes Tom Naylor is a match for any midfielder in League One on his current run of form.
The new Brewers boss will be coaching one of his former players in Naylor, who was signed under Clough at Derby County.ÂClough said: "Initially he got in the team at Derby and played at right back for us for a dozen games at the end of the season in the Championship and did well. He went away in the summer and didn’t come back as fit as we hoped he would be and lost his way a little bit.
“Now he’s back, top of League One, playing well in a different position and has been as good as any midfielder in the league at times this season. He’s combatative, he gets round the pitch and has scored the odd goal as well. It’s nice to see him playing a different kind of role and dong it so well."
