The squad is a key part to a successful season and whenever I have been involved with a side that has done well, the squad and the attitude has to be excellent.
Sometimes you can find yourself out of the side for a long time like Adam (McGurk) did and what he did was come back in last week, he got his head down and worked hard and got his reward with a goal then put in an excellent performance against Bury.
It was good to see the fans rewarded him when he came off. It is pleasing for us all when that sort of thing happens because we know what he is like day in day out and we know what he is capable of.Â
It is good to know you have got Lucas to come on, Adam to come on, seven other boys on the bench and the 11 on the field that can all make a difference.
The new signings have settled in well, it is quite a good squad to settle into as there are some excellent characters in the dressing room.
I think in football it is important that you get yourself settled in. You are in a competitive environment you have to see the boys every day, you play with them and you get a bit of banter and the jokes are flying around.
