SCOTT SHEARER - "I WANT TO BREAK INTO THE TEAM"

28 January 2015

“I was very impressed with the club.

Obviously there was a new management set-up just before I came. I played with Gavin Ward the goalkeeper coach when I was at Coventry. John Mousinho is one of my best friends outside of football so I knew about the club before I came and I just knew there was exciting times to come.

I want to break into the team, I want to play for the team. And I want to achieve promotion with the team.

Success wise, I have enjoyed my time at Crawley the most because we were the underdogs yet we managed to achieve back to back promotions which is brilliant. However I have enjoyed every club I have been at, as long as you’re playing football, you can’t moan.

Different managers, different types, different players, everything. Every opposition team has different players as well so you are constantly learning off different systems. You have got to adapt, learn and play to the strengths of the teams you are with.
