SKIPPER SAYS BREWERS WON'T FEAR LEAGUE ONE

15 July 2015

BREWERS skipper John Mousinho says that the team will more than hold their own in League One.

After winning League Two and going up as champions the Brewers aren’t just content to make up the numbers at a higher level, despite playing in the third tier for the first time in the club’s history.

Instead, the captain believes that Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s side will be competitive from game one.

He says: “I don’t think there will be many surprises; it’s going to be competitive but that was the case in League Two, where we had a lot of tight games which we came out on top off. League One will be the same.

“Yes there are some big clubs in terms of size in there but we aren’t playing the club, its history or the stadiums, just the 11 players on the pitch. It’s an extra added bonus to go away to some of those places. We will make sure we don’t get over-awed by it but keep on top of our game.

“We are going into it on a great run of form and there’s no reason why we can’t go on and attack the League again this year.”
