CHESTERFIELD AND OLDHAM FIXTURES HAVE BEEN RE-ARRANGED

19 June 2015

TWO of Burton Albion’s home fixtures for the Sky Bet League 1 season have been re-arranged.

Chesterfield were due to visit the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday 13th February 2016 but they will now visit on Friday 12th February 2016 7.45PM kick-off.

We have also re-arranged the date of our home fixture against Oldham Athletic. This fixture was scheduled to be played on Saturday 26th March but will now be played on Good Friday 25th March 3PM kick-off.

Albion will entertain Scunthorpe at the Pirelli Stadium on the provisional date of Saturday, 8th August, before travelling to Oakwell to face Barnsley in their first league away game just seven days later on Saturday, 15th August.

The second away league fixture of the season will see Burton Albion travel to ex-premier league side Blackpool with the reverse fixture taking place at the Pirelli Stadium in the first week of the new year, Saturday January 2nd.

Burton Albion will also face local teams such as Sheffield United, Walsall, Coventry and Doncaster Rovers…All of which are within a 90 minute travelling distance.

With the Pirelli Stadium celebrating its 10th anniversary, there's no better time to enjoy the match-day hospitality experience.

Burton Albion Commercial Director Fleur Robinson says: “The facilities here are among the best in the town and there’s no doubt that the stadium has become an important community facility.

“Matchday hospitality is an important part of what we do.

“It’s a great way for businesses to not only support us as a football club but provide an outstanding day out for their clients or staff with a four-course meal as well as reserved seats for a match.

“We expect there to be growing demand for hospitality and sponsorship packages following us winning promotion to League One.

“There is no doubt that the Pirelli Stadium has been the major factor in the club’s success over the last decade and it has become an important landmark and facility for the town of Burton.

“Next season, we look forward to welcoming back long standing business partners as well as new companies who have yet to experience all the stadium has to offer.”
