After a second consecutive win following Hasselbaink’s worst run in charge so far (2 losses), midfield man Robbie Weir told us that the mood in camp is brilliant and insists that it is exactly what the team needed to bounce back.
He hasn’t however taken his eye of what is coming, for instance the game tomorrow night against Southend United.
“Yes of course there is.
“I think that is what we needed another two games on the bounce especially when we are going into a couple of tough games now, like tomorrow night against Southend.”
Southend are known as a tough side and everybody knows that it will never be easy against the south-coast side.
The Brewers have however got happy memories against the Shrimpers as they beat them last season in the play-off semi-final which sent them to Wembley thanks to a Holness header and a McGurk chip over the keeper.
When asked what he knows about tomorrow’s opponents, Weir said “Obviously we had them in the play-offs last year and we have played them this year.”
He added “You know they are physical and they want to mix it up so it is going to be a great test for the lads.
“When we played them down there, a few of our lads come out with cuts and bruises.
“We all know what kind of game to expect. They are big and physical.”
