JON McLAUGHLIN HAS SIGNED A NEW 2 YEAR DEAL

6 May 2015

Goalkeeper extends his deal with the Brewers.

Jon McLaughlin has put pen-to-paper on a new two year deal which will see him stay at the Pirelli Stadium until the summer of 2017.

The 27-year-old shot-stopper signed a two-year-deal with the Brewers back in July 2014 so with his contract about to expire, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was keen to extend his contract.

McLaughlin was released by Bradford in July 2014 but he has made 48 appearances for the Brewers since.

Gavin Ward, goalkeeper coach said "With any successful promotion-winning team, you need that goalkeeper and steady influence at the back who's there when called upon.

"The team is doing well of course but you have to have a good goalkeeper.

"Jon has certainly done the business in that respect."
