BREWERS manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink took time out from Burton Albion’s League One campaign to light up the town on Sunday.
The Gaffer was on hand to help switch on the Christmas lights and officially kick off the festive season in Burton.
Councillor David Leese, Mayor of East Staffordshire, and Burton MP Andrew Griffiths were also at the switch-on and the Market Place was packed with early season shoppers.
The festivities were hosted by the presenter of Touch FM’s Breakfast Show, Mark O’Sullivan, and concluded with a fantastic firework display from Pyrotex Fireworks, choreographed to music.
Hasselbaink said: “It was a great pleasure for me to switch on the Christmas lights and start the festive season in Burton.”
