BURTON Albion’s development squad went down 2-1 to a strong Walsall team.
A second half strike by Marcus Dinanga drew the Brewers level after the home side had taken a first half lead.
But Liam Kinsella secured the victory for Walsall by converting a penalty after being brought down in the box with five minutes to go.
The game gave defender Darius Charles another chance to improve his fitness as he continues to make progress after long-term injury. He played 60 minutes.
Brewers assistant manager David Oldfield was on hand to take a look at the squad.
The next game in the Final Third Development League will be on November 30 when the Brewers take Wigan at Mickleover Sports.
