MANAGER'S VERDICT: COLCHESTER

28 November 2015

JIMMY Floyd Hasselbaink believes the 5-1 victory over Colchester flattered his team.

He said: "We won 5-1 but it was not our best performance. We did things we normally don’t do, we were not professional and that’s why we were losing 1-0.

"We were lucky as it was still at the beginning of the game, so we had time to get that sorted, get it right and luckily we did.

"I don’t think it was a 5-1 game but we made the chances and we put them away. We now need to be that clinical in our forthcoming games.

""We can play so much better. I have seen us play so much better. We can be a lot more fluent; play with a lot more purpose. Our decision-making was not as good as it has been in the past. But then you look at the result and it is 5-1 so what am I complaining about?

"Results wise it was magnificent but performance wise it wasn’t."
