BREWERS OFFER GREAT VALUE ON MATCHDAYS - SURVEY REVEALS

15 October 2015

BURTON Albion offers its supporters one of the best value match day experiences in League One, according to a new BBC survey.

Despite being near the top of the league on the pitch, the Brewers offer some of the cheapest matchday prices in the division, reports the annual BBC Price of Football survey.

The adult matchday price of £19 is £6 less than the on-the-day admission charge at  Bradford City – with 15 clubs in the division asking £20 or more for their cheapest ticket.

Albion also offer fans the chance to save cash by buying in advance, meaning adult admission can be as low as £17 for all league games. Of the few clubs who offer cheaper on-the-day prices than the Brewers, only Coventry also offer earlybird discounts.

The Pirelli Stadium also offers exceptional all round value for money.

The survey looked at the price of food, drink and programmes.

An adult fan buying a pie, cup of tea, a match ticket and a programme on the day will pay as little as £25.80 at the Pirelli Stadium. Only four clubs offered a better deal in League One.

Commercial director Fleur Robinson said: “This report confirms what we already knew at Burton Albion – that we offer our fans great value for money.

“We always make sure that not only is the matchday experience at Burton Albion as competitively priced as possible but that we also offer a welcoming family friendly environment.

“The survey only looks at adult prices but we also work hard to ensure we offer great value to all our supporters – especially our young fans, with prices starting from just £5.

“There are also plenty of ways to save cash on match day prices, not only by buying in advance but also through season tickets. We rewarded our most loyal supporters by freezing prices for those who renewed early and our half season tickets will make a great Christmas present for anyone who wants to watch the second part of what is going to be a very exciting season.”

The survey also confirmed that Burton Albion’s season tickets were among the most competitively priced in League One.

Albion’s season tickets for adults ranged from £255 to £380 this season. At Chesterfield it was £345 to £530, the most expensive in League One.
