INDONESIAN FANS VISIT THE PIRELLI STADIUM

27 October 2015

Two indonesian fans, Aldo and Rizalsi visited the Pirelli Stadium for the first time yesterday.

Yesterday, Aldo and Rizalsi visited the Pirelli Stadium for the first time.

The Football League' Stand Up and Be Counted survey asked overseas fans to register their interest in English football clubs and more than 50 declared their allegiance to the Brewers.

Burton Albion have a big fan club in Sweden thanks to the interest of a band of fans in Gothenburg but Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's team have fans across Europe, North America, Asia and Australasia.

"We're from Indonesia but we're currently living in Manchester." said Aldo.

"We have been living there since September last year. We go to University there doing a Master’s programme."

Don't you just wonder how fans from this far afield manager to support Burton Albion?

"We played Football Manager with Burton Albion. Burton Albion just intrigues us.

"It is quite challenging to manager the players and the structure of the club and seeing how the league is."

The Pirelli Stadium is quite an attraction to international fans and it was no different do Aldo and Rizalsi.

"This is the first time we have been here. It is nice and like a dream come true. It is beyond words to come to Burton Albion and to see the players too. Magnificent."

"We met the gaffer as well, he is a nice guy, a humble guy.

"I think the ability that Burton Albion had to attract such a big name manager just shows the potential of the club."
