BREWERS winger Zeli Ismail has suffered a new injury blow in a reserve game at Port Vale.
Ismail had been getting back to full fitness and made an impact from the bench in the 2-0 League One Victory against Vale on Saturday.But on Monday he played against Vale reserves as part of returning to full fitness and suffered the new setback
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink says: "He was only going to play 60 minutes but got injured in the 55th minute. He has a bad ankle after a tackle and that is a blow.
"He was doing well and it’s a blow for the lad as he has had some injuries but was really on the right track.
"We had him in that really good spot where he was getting his minutes and making a difference. He was putting in nice crosses and giving us a different edge.
“Now he will have to start from zero again, unfortunately. But that’s what it is in football.”
Hasselbaink is keen to keep the player, who is on loan from Wolves until January.
“If he comes back (to fitness) we would want to extend his loan.”
