MANAGER'S VERDICT: CREWE

20 October 2015

JIMMY Floyd Hasselbaink was pleased with the performance against Crewe and believes the goals will come for the Brewers.

Speaking after the 0-0 draw the Gaffer said: "We hit the bar in the last minute. We had some very good chances, we pressed them, with intensity and purpose. We got behind them and made it very difficult for them.

"It wasn't meant to be but I'm very proud of the boys, very happy with them and on another day we would have won 3-0.

"We can build from this as there was a lot of plusses. The neutral will have enjoyed how we played. The players conducted themselves well and carried on to the last minute.

"They are disappointed as it feels like a loss, but they should not feel down after this performance,

"We can't dwell on it. I got the performance we all needed.

"They are doing it the right way. If we keep knocking on the door the goals will come."
