NASSER DELIGHTED WITH GOAL THAT SEALED VICTORY

25 October 2015

NASSER El Khayati was delighted with the trademark goal that secured all three points against Port Vale.

The striker picked up the ball in space and went on a jinking run into the box before slotting home the 90th minute goal that made it 2-0.

He said: "I made a move to the left and I thought  that I should do my thing and go for the goal. It is always a good feeling to score especially for me after the last few weeks. I had a feeling I could do better, especially in the final third, but finally I have my goal and can look to the next game.

"Against Southend I got injured after 30 minutes and that was frustrating as I thought I was just coming back to my level and then I had to start again from the bottom. But hopefully that's in the past now."

Nasser went on to describe another memorable goal.

"I normally cut inside but this time I went outside to come back inside again. I have to mix it up a bit.

"We had a few disappointing results but now we have three points against a tough opponent like Port Vale and it's always good when you win because you can be happy and work hard and look to the next game."
