SKIPPER HAPPY TO HAVE HOME ADVANTAGE IN THE FA CUP

27 October 2015

BREWERS captain John Mousinho believes being drawn at home might be the key factor as Albion face Peterborough in the Emirates FA Cup.

The all-League One tie takes place on Saturday, September 7, at the Pirelli Stadium.

Mousinho says: "The first thing you look for in the draw is a home tie. It's a familiar environment here. We relish playing away as well but the in the cup you want a home tie. It's good for the players and the club.

"This year we are in a strong position in League One and were always at this stage going to get teams at our level or below. Peterborough are in our league  but it's still a great chance for us."

Albion beat Peterborough 2-1 at the Pirelli back in August with the visitors having a goal disallowed at the death.

But Mousinho says: "I don't think that matters to the players or management, although the fans might remember that. If we start worrying about that we get caught up in things aren't really relevant to the game. Peterborough are a  different side with a new manager and that brings with it a whole new style of play and philosophy.

"So we will approach them as they are now and not worry about what has gone before.

"An FA Cup tie always brings something different and it's an exciting weekend to be involved in. A win puts you a step closer to the Third Round and a possible really big tie."
