BEAVON PLEASED WITH HIS START AND IS LOOKING TO BUILD ON HIS GOALS

21 September 2015

Stuart Beavon scored his third goal of the Sky Bet League One campaign against Swindon to put him joint top of Albion’s goal scorers list with El Khayati.

It was a very well taken goal from a second-phase play of a free kick when Phil Edwards was brought down on the edge of the box.

“I am happy with my start it is just something I want to build on.” Said Beavon.

“We had a few chances in the game and some that we should have took and finish the game off. Overall they didn’t cause us many problems, we stuck together very well.”

Hasselbaink took his men to the County Ground with a game plan which was certainly executed to perfection.

“We was looking to hit them on the counter, we had a few other chances which we should have took.” Said Beavon.

“We don’t fear anyone. We have come up and carried on the way we started when the gaffer came in and the boys don’t fear anybody.”

League One is a place that Stuart Beavon is very familiar with after making appearances there for Preston North End. Being back in the third division is something the 31-year-old is excited about.

“You get more time on the ball and I suppose it helps. You can play better football which the gaffer wants to do here. We are showing we can play both sides of the game.”
