BURTON ALBION STARS VISIT PRIMARY SCHOOL

10 September 2015

Burton Albion stars Robbie Weir and Damien McCrory took a visit to Edge Hill Primary School's year 5 class.

It began with a question and answer session in which the 9 and 10 year olds were able to find out more about what it's like to be a professional football player.

The children were keen to know more as they fired away their questions before being taken to the field to showcase their footballing skills.

Out on the field Robbie and Damien demonstrated some dribbling and tackling exercises, and before long the Year 5's were given the opportunity to show their abilities.

Weir and McCrory may not be known for their goalkeeping skills but both found themselves having to pull off some good saves from a few well struck shots, which in some cases were beyond their reaches.

The day ended with a penalty shoot out between the two Brewers players, in which Robbie came out as victor much to the delight of the kids who had predicted him to win.
