MARK DUFFY SAVING HIS GOALS FOR THE BIGGER GAMES

17 September 2015

Mark Duffy has had a good start to the season created numerous assists and scoring the last minute winner at Shrewsbury Town.

He had a great pre-season but the Liverpudlian admits he wants more goals already.

“I have had some good chances.

“On a personal level I should have had three or four goals.

“It is something that you get judges on so I will try to improve.”

Chances aren’t something that Mark Duffy has struggled to create so far but he is still frustrated that he hasn’t scored more than he already has.

He wants to save them for the bigger games…

“It is frustrating but I would be more concerned if I wasn’t getting the good opportunities.

“I am getting them I just need that touch now.

“I am saving them for the bigger games.”

A lot of players don’t let their season targets slip but Mark Duffy wasn’t shy to tell us his target. He is looking for ten goals as this is what most midfielders aim for, so he says.

“Every midfield decides around ten goals but as long as I get a couple and a lot of assists, I am more of an assist type of person.

“I like to get assists but I need to chip in with a couple of goals, that would be great.”
