McCRORY LOOKING TO PUT THINGS RIGHT AGAINST ROCHDALE

11 September 2015

Brewers defender Damien McCrory is sure that the team will be able to put things right for Saturday’s game with Rochdale, following last Sundays defeat.

The 25-year-old believes that Rochdale will be similar opposition to last weeks opponents Coventry City, but say that the team can press high and capitalise on mistakes.

"It'll be a similar sort of game." He said. "We missed out on three points last week, so this Saturday we won't let that happen again."

This will be the 7th game of Burton Albion's season, but McCrory is optimistic about continuing their strong start.

"It's a long season, but the boys are pleased with the start, and the way we performed against tough opposition has shown that we can mix it and achieve what we want to achieve this season.

"We just have to keep doing what we're doing, keep our heads level, and take it game by game to keep getting those three points."

Burton and Rochdale previously faced each other in League Two, and Damien says that the Dale's style of play remains pretty much the same.

"They like to play up from the back, passing it between their full backs and centre halves, but that's how they've always played and they're good at it.

"Even though they have brought in a lot of new players they still play this way, but they also score a lot of goals, so we must try and score a lot of goals ourselves."

McCrory is hopeful that he will be selected again after he was left out by manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in the last game.

"I won't know for sure until Friday but I am confident of returning to the team, as a player you just want to show what you can do.

"Whatever the managers decision is you just have to bide your time and take your chances when you can."
