BURTON Albion have taken 12 points from their first ever six games in Sky Bet League 1. They say teams that take an average of 2 points per game will do well come the end of the season.
Lucas Akins told burtonalbionfc.co.uk that he thinks they are in an ‘unbelievable’ position.“We are in an unbelievable position.
“You look at where we have come from, league 2 to league 1.
“If you had given us this position at the start of the season, nobody would have turned it down.
“We have got to pull everyone in the same direction as it always has been and it always will be.”
Hasselbaink and the whole Burton Albion squad aren’t used to losing with the Brewers only tasting defeat a handful of times over the past year or so.
“In victories, the gaffer has kept our feet on the ground and kept us working really hard and I’m sure he will carry on doing that in defeat.” Akins said.
“He never gets too high and he never gets too low.
“We will continue to carry on our business quietly and keep working hard.”
