CLOUGH URGES PLAYERS TO 'GET THE JOB DONE'

27 April 2016

NIGEL Clough is urging his players to repeat the high-quality performances of the previous three games in the last two matches and to “get the job done”.

With Walsall beating Shrewsbury last night, Albion need four points to guarantee promotion from Saturday’s home game against Gillingham and the final fixture of the season at Doncaster.

Clough said: “We aren’t even looking at Doncaster, just Gillingham. A point or three keeps it in our hands, that’s the most important thing.

“It’s about keeping everything the same. It’s what worked for the last couple of seasons for the team. So it’s about keeping their feet on the ground.

"It’s just another game. It’s an important one but it’s still just another three points. The last thing we want to do is freeze but we haven’t shown any signs of that this season.

“You look back at the six games without a win and we could have easily have won two or three of those and it would all have been done by now - but that’s in the past. We know what we need to do now so let’s get the job done.”
